We are covering Minnesota history in our 6th grade curriculum.
This is a wonderful link to use with students when trying to explain our regiments part in the war.
With new curriculum and a lot of history to cover I think the blog factor could be quite helpful. Students would be able look at posts and respond or add their own to help all of us in class to understand all of the great/important moments they are to be held accountable for this year.
2 things. Can you try and embed your video into your blog instead of just linking it? This makes for a more dynamic blog. It's a youtube video so as long as you use the youtube link it's pretty easy to embed from the blog post. Let me know if you need help with this.
Also, Activity 1 requires a bit more of a reflection specific to the different blog choices. Here is our blog post directions for the reflection:
Reflect: --How could a blog be useful in your classroom or professional life? If you're not sure of the potential benefits, do a Google search for something like "using blogs in the classroom". --After checking out some of the other blogging sites, which do you think would be the best option for you?
